Gob bless you!! I managed to unbrick my v1.45 op-com clone with your software and your instructions!!-edit-As I figured out it needs the 2.4.6.0 version of the driver to work otherwise if you use the 2.8.x.x or greater version the clone will become a brick. But you can unbrick it to v01.45 if you install the 2.4.6.0 version of the driver and then run the OPCOM.exe from your program!! I managed to revert the driver in my desktop PC (Win 8.1 Pro) to 2.4.6.0 but I can't do it on my netbook with XP.
I will try doing a restore.-edit2-The driver that is included works like a charm!!! Thanks a lot again!!!
Advice!!!If you want to work with older versions.like china 2010, 09xxxx, etc, make downgrade to 1.39.for 120309 upgrade to 1.45.I don't know how work a version with another fw.can be a disaster for a model car.The version is 'marriaged' with firmware.Because fw is a little programm, like a driver. If in 1.39 instructions are: read errors, do something.and in 1.45 is read errors, do something1. The two rutines something and something1.will do different opperations. In fact a newer fw is not only a 'optimized fw', is a 'newer fw'.more functions can be rewrited, modified, not only optimized. Software works (mostly). Automatically updated my device from 1.39 to 1.45.Device with new firmware works without problems with old software (8.2010).This version has a few glitches.
Data logging or any attempt to write to file crashes the software:(display of graphs is mostly useless since most of the parameters are unavailable (something about a beta version).Few glitches with measuring blocks: sometimes fileds are empty, going back to main menu usually fixes it.Data logs format has changed since 8.2010. Nobody?Or maybe samebody know where in HKEYLOCALMACHINE is install driver?Your know USB devices and their details you can found under the registry entry HKEYLOCALMACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/ENUM/USB/VIDXXXX&PIDYYYYwhere XXXX is the VendorId and YYYY is the ProductId of your device.
Half life 2 beta recreation. (In case of OP-COM the VID is 0403 and PID is 6001.Instead of deleting the registry entries for your cable I advise the use of CDM Uninstaller (which can remove the drivers associated to a specified VID/PID. This is the official way to remove FTDI drivers for a specified device.Regardsleader.
Windows XP sp3 - I specifically installed this on an old laptop for opcomI've got opcom 201008 version - board shows ver 6.0 and firmware has been updated to 1.45windows sees it as op-com usb v2I've installed opcom 120309 but when installing drivers it installs two of them but for the 3rd (the actual usb interface) it says it's unsigned and won't install itIf I 'test interface' it shows the screen showing it's successful (but doesn't show a serial number, just the firmware version)but when I plug it into the car it says it cannot find interface and to install the driver.

Windows 7 is not Windows 10 as several years of software and hardware advancements (loosely used) have occurred in between their releases. So, let us try getting answers again:1. Who manufactured the computer? You having some old drivers CD for past operating systems is not what is being asked for, but a make & model of the computer (if someone like Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc.) or at least of the motherboard (if an assembled-by-individualtype system.)2. Have you visited their support site (web page, support, downloads, drivers, all keywords to look for) to obtain Windows 10 specific support?Hardware manufacturers provide device drivers for operating systems they support. They may provide them direct to the end-user or for inclusion in a given version of an operating system in generic format - that is their choice. They often also choose tostop supporting some hardware at some specific version of operating system (usually by date) as supporting their older hardware indefinitely while still developing and releasing newer hardware doesn't make financial sense. So, please, if you do want assistance on this peer-to-peer volunteer-based public worldwide web forum, help us help you by answering the questions asked of you - with the likely intention of figuring out your next best step for you.(Since you have the Driver CD, have you tried installing the driver(s) using compatibility mode? That is assuming the manufacturer does not have newer versions - likely - on their web page.).- Shenan Stanley MVP 2005-2011 & 2013-2015 Insider MVP 2016-.
I had no problem getting my working on my Windows 8 laptop the same way as Windows 7. You just have to disable driver signing, which is hidden in a load of menus in windows 8.This video explains how to do it though. Boot into unsigned driver mode (like in video above). Install DPInstx64.exe. Plug in OP-COM and click to install anyway when it warns about the driver not being signed.
Opcom Windows 10
Install OPCOM2011rev.exe. Run OP-COM link on the desktopI just added a new key to the immobiliser without any issues, apart from nearly getting stuck under the dash attempting to reach the diagnostics plug.P.s.
Opcom windows 8 “drivers not found” Can’t get it to run on windows 8, worked fine on my old w7 laptop. Tried to download software from the disc that came with the op-com then went to devise manager to op-com v2 to find drivers. Clicked on the drivers file but was told the drivers couldn’t be foundAnswer: I had the same problem when ideally I would have liked to of run Vaux-Com on my Windows 8 laptop. However since I have several machines running different OS’s anyway I didn’t bother trying the following solution.Microsoft gave Windows 7 users a way to run older applications via ‘Windows XP Mode’.
With Windows 8 that mode is no longer officially supported, and if you want to run Windows XP in a virtual machine, you need the license for it.There is a workaround however, within the free WindowsXPModeen-us.exe file, there’s a VirtualXPVHD file containing the Windows XP virtual machine, which you can open in VirtualBox.Here are the steps to get this working:. Download from Microsoft. You’ll need to run the validation tool to prove your copy of Windows is valid. Then use 7-Zip or another archive tool to open the EXE file as an archive. Within that archive, find the “sources/xpm” file within it, and extract that folder to your hard drive. Finally, in the extracted xpm file, you’ll find a file called VirtualXPVHD.
Rename it with a VHD extension. In VirtualBox, open the VirtualXPVHD virtual machine, and voila! You’ve got Windows XP Mode (running Windows XP Professional) in Windows 8, no need for the XP license. This might also be possible with Windows 8’s built-in virtual machine manager, Hyper-V, but that’s only available in Windows 8 Pro.The important note:Opcom windows 10×8/7/xp install.
